Odisha has made a sweeping growth in all sectors attracting investments of over 200 billion US dollars in the last ten years. The State Government emphasises on leveraging its abundant resources and promoting maximum value addition to create employment opportunities, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday.
Addressing a function on the occasion of Raising Day of Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) here, Naveen said there is a need to provide a healthy environment to the industries in the State. Considering this basic pre-requisite, the State Government has raised the State Industrial Security Force which starts functioning from Saturday, he added.
The Chief Minister congratulated total 1,370 new recruits of OISF, who will undergo a training of nine months on the lines of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and urged them to discharge their duties with responsibility and dedication.
The force will be responsible for protection and security of industrial undertakings of the Government and other establishments as well as strategic and vital installations. Naveen released the insignia of the force and distributed appointment letters to new recruits.
Among others, Principal Secretary of Home Department Asit Tripathy, DG Police KB Singh and Additional DGP of State Armed Police B Radhika were present.
