New Power Connection for Industrial Units
Industrial units in Odisha can apply for a new power connection through the GO SWIFT single window portal. The application is routed to the relevant power distribution company (DISCOM) based on the unit’s location. This streamlined digital process ensures faster service delivery and transparency in approvals.
Applicable Distribution Companies (DISCOMs) in Odisha
There are four DISCOMs in Odisha:

Note: DISCOMs in Odisha are operated by Tata Power in collaboration with the Government of Odisha.

- ID Proof
- Ownership/Occupation Proof (In the case of a partnership firm – The applicant shall furnish the partnership deed and an authorization in the name of the applicant for signing the application form and agreement)
- Other Documents:
- Industrial License
- NoC from Gram Panchayat/NAC/Municipality for Temporary Connection
- Drawing Approval (only for power above 11KVA as per GO)
Processing Timeline
7–90 Days depending on whether addition/augmentation/upgradation/extension of distribution main or commissioning of the new substation is required and based on the location.
