Approvals for setting up hostel

General Instructions

  1. On submission of the application, the same will be forwarded to the concerned District Magistrate or the Police Commissionerate.
  2. The application receiving authority asks the applicant to provide additional information, if required.
  3. The District Magistrate’s/Police Commissionerate’s office sends for an enquiry from authorities such as the Fire authorities, Police authorities, Electrical authorities, Tahsildar etc., who conducts inspections/physical verifications of the site as per the requirements.
  4. On receipt of the reports from the concerned authorities, the District Magistrate/Commissioner of Police provides their remarks and issues/rejects the approval.

Checklist

  1. NOC from landlord.
  2. Recommendation/NOC from Local Fire Officer.
  3. Recommendation/NOC from Local Electrical Inspector.
  4. Recommendation regarding fitness of civil construction from concerned Executive Engineer of Works Department.
  5. Certificate of Sanitation and health from the municipal Corporation.
  6. NOC from Inspector-in-Charge of the local Police Station.
  7. Agreement/lease deed in respect of occupation of premises.
